April 13 from 5-6:30 pm ET
Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) sits at the intersection of microbiology, motility, immunity, and clinical nuance. In this Supplement Deep Dive, we will examine how probiotics fit (and sometimes don’t fit) into SIBO management through a careful review of genus, species, and strain-specific evidence. We’ll explore what the literature actually says about dosing, timing, and duration, and how these variables influence outcomes in real-world practice. We will differentiate when targeted strains may support symptom reduction, barrier integrity, and immune modulation, and when caution is warranted.
In addition, we will discuss the role of elemental diets as medical foods, common adjunctive strategies used alongside antimicrobial protocols, and the emerging clinical relevance of prebiotics and postbiotics in restoring microbial ecology after treatment. This session is designed for clinicians who want a practical, evidence-informed framework they can immediately apply, moving beyond trends and toward deliberate, strain-specific decision-making in SIBO care.
A recording will be available to everyone who registers, so please sign up even if you can't attend live.
