Multivitamins in Clinical Practice: Supplement Deep Dive (2026)

A training for practitioners with Camille Freeman (1.5 NPCE)

July 13 from 5-6:30 pm ET

What you'll learn:

This 1.5‑hour class examines the role of multivitamins in clinical practice, with a focus on evidence, safety, and practical application. We'll review what the research shows about indications for multivitamin use, including potential benefits, limitations, and common misconceptions. The session will cover dosing strategies across different populations, quality and formulation considerations, nutrient interactions, and safety concerns such as excess intake, contraindications, and medication interactions. The intention is to review how herbalists and nutritionists can offer evidence‑informed guidance around multivitamins as part of a broader individualized therapeutic plan.

A recording will be available to everyone who registers, so please sign up even if you can't attend live.

By the end of the session, you'll be able to:

Evaluate the current evidence on multivitamin use, including when they may be helpful and when they may offer limited benefit.
Identify key safety considerations related to multivitamin use, including upper intake levels, nutrient interactions, and client‑specific risk factors.
Apply practical guidelines for recommending multivitamins to diverse populations in clinical practice.
Compare different multivitamin formulations and assess quality, bioavailability, and dosing strategies.

Meet Camille Freeman, DCN, RH

She/her

Camille has been working with clients as a clinical herbalist and nutritionist since 2003, with a focus on fertility, pregnancy, and menstrual health. Her clinical work is guided by her background in physiology, along with a belief in the power of incremental change: starting small, listening closely, and helping clients make changes that actually last.

A teacher at heart, Camille spent nearly 17 years teaching physiology and pathophysiology at the Maryland University of Integrative Health. One of her strengths is breaking down complex concepts into clear, practical points that clinicians can actually use. She now brings that same approach to Monday Mentoring, her community of practice for herbalists and nutritionists, as well as her continuing-education programs, like this Deep Dive.

Camille holds a doctorate in clinical nutrition from MUIH (now part of Notre Dame of Maryland), along with master’s degrees in herbal medicine (MUIH) and physiology (Georgetown University). She also hosts the podcast In the Clinic with Camille and is the author of Write Better Newsletters: Grow Your 1:1 Practice with Emails People Actually Want to Read
