Learn more about supporting clients who have ADHD in the September Deep Dive. We'll begin with a review of the latest information about ADHD and how it affects the body. Then, we'll explore a comprehensive approach to managing ADHD symptoms, including nutrition, lifestyle interventions, and herbal strategies. We will also discuss the importance of lab testing in monitoring progress and the management of co-occurring conditions. Camille will be covering the basics and physiology, while Niki will teach the clinical strategies.

Camille Freeman has been in practice as a licensed nutritionist and registered herbalist for almost twenty years, with a specialty in menstrual health and fertility. Now, she focuses on offering mentorship and continuing education for highly trained herbalists and nutritionists through her business, Bloom & Grow.
Camille is also a professor at the Maryland University of Integrative Health, where she teaches physiology, pathophysiology, and mindful eating. Camille believes that growing a practice with integrity and empathy while making a living is possible and that doing so provides an exciting and slightly terrifying opportunity for personal expansion.
Camille started her herbal studies with an apprenticeship with Monica Rude of Desert Woman Botanicals in Gila, NM in 2001. She then earned an MS in Herbal Medicine from MUIH under Simon Mills, James Snow and Kevin Spelman, followed by a second MS in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University and a doctorate in Clinical Nutrition from MUIH.
She has had the opportunity to speak and teach throughout the country, including at the American Herbalists Guild Symposium, the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism, the California School of Herbal Studies, the National Association for Nutrition Professionals conference, and more.
She lives in the Shenandoah Valley, where she enjoys wandering through the mountains with her two homeschooled children and loosely keeping the weeds under control in her herb & flower gardens.

Niki Smith, MS, is an Integrative & Functional Health Practitioner and Herbalist with a Master’s in Clinical Nutrition. Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition, Niki’s passion for integrative wellness stems from her personal journey in managing ADHD symptoms holistically. This experience has fueled her commitment to helping others navigate similar challenges through personalized, nutrition-first approaches.
At the Botanical Health Clinic, Niki specializes in gut and brain health, with a particular focus on supporting neurodivergent individuals. She is dedicated to identifying and addressing the root causes of health issues, empowering her clients to take control of their well-being. Through her holistic and patient-centered approach, Niki aims to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those she works with, especially within the ADHD community.
